KCCI presents flood loss report to WB team

Srinagar, Feb 5: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry today met the visiting World Bank team and detailed it about the losses incurred in last year’s floods.
Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President KCCI in a statement said they apprised the World Bank team about the devastation of last year’s September floods.
“Ahmad gave a detailed estimate of losses suffered by different sectors of economy in Kashmir- from horticulture to retail, agriculture to wholesale segment and tourism and other sectors.
He said the detailed estimates are given were given to the team underlining the scope for the World Bank intervention to support state economy.
