JAMMU, Aug 19: Speaker State Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta toured Chatha, Bhor Camp and Shomali Mohalla area of his Constituency today.
Kavinder Gupta, while addressing public gatherings in these localities said soon after being elected as a MLA he started the process of making Gandhi Nagar a model constituency and has taken many initiatives in this regard. He ensured the involvement of the general masses in achieving this dream as they are the real stakeholders of the area.
Locals apprised him of the common problems being faced by them which are like regular supply of kerosene oil & ration, widow & old age pension, inclusion of names in BPL list, boundary wall & teacher for the primary school, sanitation facilities and proper lanes and drains in the area.
He said that the present government is committed for the development of the people of this State. Taking a dig at the working of previous NC-Congress regime, he said, only due to their indifferent attitude the people of the State have suffered a lot; now all their genuine demands will be fulfilled and taken care of.
Referring to the welfare schemes being run by the Centre and State government, he said that it is not only the responsibility of the government officers but learned people of the area should also contribute in spreading the awareness among the masses so that the benefit can be given to the deserving and it reaches at the grass root level.
