Kavinder undertakes extensive tour of Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, Oct 6: Speaker  Legislative Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today said that special focus has been laid for upgradation of roads, power and other infrastructure in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
The Speaker while interacting with the various delegations who called on him during his tour of Trikuta Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Channi Himmat, Deeli, Marble Market and other areas today.
He inspected the ongoing works for blacktopping of roads at these places and directed the executing agencies to maintain the quality and ensure cent percent coverage of the area.
Addressing people at these places, the Speaker said the quality of life of the Gandhi Nagar residents have a seen a positive change with the improvement in the basic facilities of the area.
“Upgradation of road connectivity is the priority of the Government”, he said. “The aim is to improve the living standards and make best possible use of the funds provided by the Union and State Government”, the Speaker asserted.
The Speaker informed the people that the Government is making all out efforts to provide basic facilities at the door steps of the people.
He also inspected the work for newly created electrical substations, replacement & installations of new conductors and poles; the funds for which were provided out of his CDF.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the legislator for addressing the long pending demands of the area by installing upgraded transformers & poles and expediting the development activity in the area.
He said that in case people face any problem regarding the development they can directly come to his Gandhi Nagar Office and get their issue resolved at the earliest.
SDM South, Sonu Pargal, Tehsildar South, Anil Magotra, BDO Satwari, Shahid Mughal, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), Rajan Mengi, Executive Engineer PHE, J.P Singh, Executive Engineer PDD, Sanjay Sharma, political workers and field staff of the departments accompanied him.
