Kavinder starts blacktopping of roads in Ambika Colony

JAMMU, Dec 20: Former Deputy Chief Minister & BJP senior leader, Kavinder Gupta today started blacktopping of the interior roads of Ambika Colony in Ward 68 of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. Anil Kumar Councillor, S.A Wani, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department and other officers of the Department were present on the occasion.
Kavinder Gupta while addressing the gathering said that BJP is committed to its basic principle “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” and called for the active participation of the elected councillors of each Ward for the overall development of the Constituency. Referring to works started today, he said the execution of works has been initiated and all the pending works which have been approved earlier shall be started in phased manner and there will be no compromise with quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution of different works so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. The life of the roads is also going to increase and it is not going to break down easily, he added.
He promised to make this Constituency a model one and providing good roads is the first step towards that. Public have to remain vigilant during the execution of the works, so that allotted amount for the area is utilized in optimum way. He appealed to the residents of the Ambika Colony to frequently visit the site of ongoing works and report any type of shortcoming well in time.
He stressed upon the officers of Rural Development, PWD, PHE and other departments to regularly interact with local representatives to gauge the on ground performance of their respective departments and to keep channels of communication open for public. He stressed Government officers for reaching out to public for all the Government schemes of socio economic aspects, development, agricultural and all other fields so that they can be benefitted to the optimum level.  Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Jagmeet Singh, Rakesh Charak (Raka), Parshotam Sharma, Darshan Grover, Sagar Sharma, Subash Sharma, Shivalik Charak, Rohit Verma among others.
Anil Kumar Councillor from Ward 68 expressed gratitude to Gupta on behalf of the residents of the area for taking up their pending demands from time to time, on priority and also brought some other issues to his notice for early disposal.
