Lambasting Congress, NC and PDP, he said, they have taken people of the State particularly Jammu for granted and played with their sentiments. “We are not power hungry like other parties are and its proof is that we withdrew support from the PDP led Government when we came to know that it is harming the national cause”, he added.
He was accompanied by Baldev Billowria, S. Hardev Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Dalbir Singh, Sharda Kumari, Suraj Rana among others during his tour to the area.

Gupta exuded confidence that people will support the party on basis of the work it has done. He said “during Modi Government, in the State, we have got many works executed and focused mainly on the quality of work, so that people don’t suffer again and again”. He said people are aware of all the facts and can compare the developmental works executed during previous Governments and BJP regime.
Gupta targeted Congress and said that in the past four and half years the associates of Congress have been revealed. He added that the Congress was removed because of their inefficiency to take decisions, corruption and failure to deliver good governance for the people but now they have failed to play the role of opposition also. He said every worker should reach out to the public and aware them about the socio-economic schemes of the Modi led Government at Centre and also aware them about the achievements, we have achieved after 2014 in State as well as in the country.
He lambasted former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for his statement advocating for restoration of pre 1953 position having separate Prime Minister and President for the State. He said the opposition parties are issueless in these elections and so they are giving such type of anti national statements out of desperation. He demanded that all those leaders who are giving anti national statements be booked under relevant sections of the law.
