Kavinder slams Hurriyat for tripartite talk advice

JAMMU, July 9: In a hard hitting rejoinder to Hurriyat Conference over its remark advocating tripartite talks between India, Pakistan and J&K to resolve Kashmir issue, senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta asked the separatist amalgam not to indulge in the matter as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led Central dispensation is wise enough to deal with the situation.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that the demands raised by the Hurriyat Conference are beyond the scope of consideration as there is defect in the very essence of what has been sought. He said that making J&K a separate entity is out of question because it was, it is and it will remain the integral part of India, and the stance taken by India is the stand of J&K.
He said that separatist Hurriyat Conference is still day dreaming and that is the reason behind such impracticable demands. Advising the Hurriyat Conference leaders to shun the ostentatious stand in Kashmir to misguide the people, he said that their leadership has been exposed badly before the people of Kashmir for acting on the behest of Pakistan thus it is futile to make failed attempts to sway them against India.
He said that it will be better for them to join mainstream and become part and parcel of the nation building process started by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and contribute in setting in peace, progress and prosperity in J&K instead of creating tumultuous environs using religion and regionalism as tools to fracture brotherhood and bonhomie.
Holding Hurriyat responsible for the present situation in Kashmir valley, he said that still there is time for separatists to mend their ways for the sake of people of Kashmir and allow peace and progress to prevail as working on anti-India narrative will prove counterproductive for all including Hurriyat itself.
