Kavinder, Sat tour rain affected areas of Janipur

JAMMU, Aug 13: In order to take stock of losses caused by the heavy rains in Jammu West, former Deputy CM, MLA Kavinder Gupta and Former Minister and MLA, Sat Sharma (CA) visited rain affected areas of Janipur Excelsior Lane & adjoining areas and listened to the grievances of the people.
Accompanied by Officials of Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED), Jammu Municipal Corporation, (JMC), local residents, political and social activists of the area, both leaders gave a patient hearing to the problems faced by the people.
DC Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, SDM North Ilyas Khan also accompanied the leaders during their visit.
In a press statement issued, Kavinder Gupta said that he instructed the administration of JMC to immediately start the cleaning works as soon as possible  in order to ensure that the normal life.
He also directed the officials of the UEED to immediately lift the garbage and also take up the compulsory construction works in order to provide a better infrastructure to public.
Sat Sharma stated that once for all he wants to end the problem of Nullah in Excelsior Lane Janipur as in every Monsoon season people suffer a lot and it will be a matter of big concern if their problems are not solved in time.
Sharma also visited rain affected areas of Ward 40 and 41 and interacted with the masses as well where damages were caused due to heavy rains. He also assured the masses that all their problems will be solved as soon as possible.
Both the leaders instructed the Deputy Commissioner to check and assess the amount of losses caused by rains and floods. The DC was also asked to compensate those who have who have suffered losses due to heavy rains.
