JAMMU, June 1: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today said that providing vaccine jabs to all the citizens and successfully inoculating the entire population is the top priority of the BJP Government.
He said this while interacting with locals during his visit to Trikuta Nagar area falling under Ward No. 54. Corporator of the Ward Lucky Puri also accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister. Kavinder held this whirlwind tour of the locality to take firsthand knowledge about the issues and problems being confronted by the people.
Apprising the BJP leader about the hardships, the locals said that the Nallah in the vicinity has made life of people literally akin to hell as during rainy season it gets inundated and water gushes into houses situated near Garden Estate Banquet Hall.
After hearing the people, Kavinder assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned quarters and ensured that the work on the Nallah was taken up on priority and necessary repairs will be carried out well before Monsoon season.
The former DyCM also reviewed the status of the vaccination drive which is underway and appreciated the residents for showing enthusiasm in taking vaccine jabs. He said that BJP Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working day and night to ensure that sooner than later the required number of vaccine shots are procured to make every citizen of the country fortified against the ruthless Coronavirus.
Kavinder said that almost all the people above 45 years have taken their vaccine shots and presently those falling between 18 and 45 years category are undergoing vaccination. He said that the PM Narendra Modi led BJP Government in the Centre has special affinity towards J&K and there is no need to panic regarding vaccine availability as it will soon be available in all the centers designated for inoculation purposes.
