JAMMU, July 19: Former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP senior leader Kavinder Gupta alongwith former MLC Vikram Randhawa kick started the development works related to upgradation of lanes and drains in Belicharana area of the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Kavinder Gupta and Vikram Randhawa also inaugurated the newly constructed Ram Leela stage in Gorkha Nagar area of Bahu Fort.
While addressing the gatherings at these places, Gupta said that the developmental works will be accelerated in coming days as many of them have been approved and will contribute for the improvement of the basic amenities.
He said that the projects for the up-gradation of drainage system in Belicharana have been approved and after the up-gradation of the approved drainage system, people shall be relieved from the problem of water logging during the rainy season.
On the occasion, people projected various developmental related demands which were mainly related to upgradation of bye lanes, water supply, sanitation, etc and Gupta assured to take up work of lanes and bye lanes which are in deplorable conditions and needs up gradation.
He said that his focus is on the development projects for making the Gandhi Nagar constituency as a model constituency and uplifting the living standards of the people by providing all the basic amenities.
Gupta stressed upon the JMC officials to complete the ongoing works in Belicharana at the earliest ensuring quality work.
Kavinder also asked the BJP activists to reach to the door steps of the people to aware them about the centrally sponsored schemes and gather the data of the problems being faced by the inhabitants so that the genuine demands are met in a phased manner.
Bharat Bhushan, President Satwari Mandal, Suraj Raina, Daler Singh, Sunil Langer, Hans Raj, Amrika Devi and Pritam Singh were also present on the occasion.
