Shiv Sena urges Govt to come out of confusion over Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU, July 19: J&K unit of Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray has appealed the Government to come out of the confusion regarding the holy Shri Amarnath Yatra.
In a party program, organized here today, the president J&K, Manish Sahni appealed to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu to make the final announcement of the dates and guidelines for the holy Amarnath Yatra.
Sahni reminded that it was decided to start the yatra on July 21, however, there has been no official announcement from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board even as only a day has been left for the date. Even online registration is also not being accepted, he added.
Sahni said that the growing crisis of Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of concern, but the Government should also take care of the sentiments of the devotees and clarify its stand regarding the Amarnath Yatra.
“If the parks can be opened randomly, why doesn’t the Government come out with a plan on the religious Yatra despite having rounds of meetings over the issue?” he asked and admitted the all the Covid-19 guidelines should be followed while observing the holy Amarnath Yatra as well as Eid.
On this occasion, dozens of youths joined the hand with Shiv Sena, influenced by the growing activism, policies and ideas of the party. The party’s women wing president Meenakshi Chhibber, vice-president Surjit Singh Chib, Secretary Raj Singh and Balwant Singh welcomed the new members with the Shiv Sena Bandan. Shiv Sena Preisdent for Reasi, Bhuri Singh and president ward 66 Sikander Singh were also present on the occasion.
