Kavinder kick starts blacktopping works in Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, May 3: Taking forward the agenda of development in his constituency, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today kick started the blacktopping of roads in Nanak Nagar area.
Joint Commissioner, JMC, R S Jamwal; X-En, JMC, Joginder Lal; AEE, JMC, S Gurcharan Singh; S Varinderjeet Singh, Sunil Dogra, Ankush Gupta, Kulbir Charak, Vishal Mahajan, Rohit Gupta besides social activists and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
The works will be executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of around 15 lakh INR.
While undertaking tour of the area, various deputations met the Speaker and expressed their gratitude for fulfilling this long pending demand of their area and put forward some more demands pertaining to development.
Addressing the locals, Mr Kavinder said, it was his priority to fulfill the needs of the residents of Gandhi Nagar and every requirement related to development was taken up on priority and the works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and enhancing other civic amenities had already been taken up and would be completed in a time bound manner.
The Speaker said that he is well aware of the requirements of the people and has been working day and night for the welfare of the constituency. He asserted that ensuring enhanced facilities to the people in every nook and corner of the Gandhi Nagar with emphasis on the most neglected parts is the main mantra of his working.
He instructed the officers to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing projects and complete them within shortest possible time.
Stressing on the need for special attention on the infrastructural development and proper implementation of the welfare programs, he asked for greater public participation in every developmental endeavor initiated by the administration to achieve tangible results on the ground.
