Jammu, July 15: A SAAF Toilet Complex constructed near Nawabad Police Station was inaugurated by Speaker Kavinder Gupta in presence of MLA Rajesh Gupta and commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Soujanya Kumar Sharma. The complex was constructed at a cost of Rs 18.10 lac.
The toilet complex has the facilities of gents WC’s, ladies WC’s, bathing facilities, urinal facilities and other facilities like air conditioning, CCTV cameras, sensor taps and power back up etc.
This is the most modern type of saaf Toilet Complex which has been constructed by Lakshya Social Organisation under the banner of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
On this occasion Speaker during his speech said that it was the long pending demand of the people to provide this kind of facility in this area which is the hub of Jammu city and heavy passengers and tourists has to pass this area and it was the most important necessity for them which has been fulfilled by today by JMC.
MLA Rajesh Gupta also spoke on this occasion. He said that it is the duty of every citizen to make it neat and clean in future also.
Commissioner JMC said that JMC is at the door step of everyone to provide every kind of facility under this Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. He promised that similar type of toilets is also being identified at different places and efforts shall be made to construct these toilets also.
