Kavinder Gupta inspects various developmental works in Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, July 29: Former Dy. CM and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta conducted an extensive tour of Gandhi Nagar Constituency today.
During the tour,  Gupta inspected the work of the tube well at Sec-8 Nanak Nagar. He directed the concerned for early completion of the tube well so that the public get some relief from the shortage of water. This was the long pending demand of the locals. He said after completion of this work, the tube well work at Gurduwara Sant Pura Danna Sec-7, Nanak Nagar shall be taken up and within one month work on 10 other tube wells will be executed in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
Gupta assured public that the works undertaken will be completed in a time bound manner to benefit the locals at the earliest.
The Speaker stressed for ensuring transparency in the working of the departments and asked the concerned officers to submit the status reports regularly to his office. He asked the officers to adopt cost efficient methods for quality work.
Gupta visited South Extension, Trikuta Nagar where he launched plantation drive. During his address Gupta encouraged the inhabitants to plant more trees and take care of their plantations thereafter. He said every day should be treated as Van Mahotsav and plants should be grown to keep the environment green, clean, safe and healthy.
Kavinder also visited Gorkha Nagar area of the constituency where he distributed LPG connections to beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. As many as 30 LPG connections with other related accessories were handed over to the beneficiaries. Reiterating his commitment to work for public welfare, Kavinder said, the Central Government has envisaged this scheme to provide women with a safe and clean provision of fuel for cooking. More than 10000 households of Gandhi Nagar have been benefited under the scheme, he added. Applauding the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his keen interest in the development of the State, Kavinder Gupta said that GoI has been providing liberal funding to the State so that various development projects underway were completed in a time bound manner.
At Peer Bagh, Colony Sunjwan, Gupta dedicated 100 KVA transformer to public of the area. He also assured to recommend for the up-gradation of the roads of area.
Stressing on the need for development of rural areas, Gupta said that many development projects are underway to develop the peripheral pockets of his constituency.
Gupta was accompanied by Ajay Pargal, Ankush Gupta, Kulbir Charak, Perminder Singh, Nayan Gupta among others.
