Kavinder dedicates transformer to people of Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, Mar 10: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta today dedicated new 400 KVA transformer and substation to the residents of Nanak Nagar at Sector 4. Adjoining Gorkha Mandir, Ward 42 Nanak Nagar. The funds tuning to Rs 18 lakh were sanctioned from his CDF for installation of transformer.
Gupta in his address to the gathering on the occasion said that these areas have been facing power crisis from the past several years and they also face power fluctuations, so for fulfilling demands of the locals of the area such step have been taken in order to eradicate the crisis of power from these areas. Gupta said during his tenure he had tried his best for the development works and other projects. He said the major projects executed in this area include up gradation of 10 MVA substations to 20 MVA.
Gupta apprised that more than 650 KM road length has been upgraded; more than 385 transformers and 14000 new electric poles have been installed in Gandhi Nagar Constituency in the past three years all the already approved works will be executed by the concerned agencies in phased manner. Six projects for the construction of deep drains have been approved and the work on the approved drains will be started soon, Gupta added.
He said that works worth Rs 33 crore have been approved in Gandhi Nagar Constituency and soon the work will start for the up gradation of lanes, drains and roads. The residents of the area complimented Kavinder Gupta for providing the transformers and his sincerity in the redressal of the problems. The public brought some problems to the notice of Gupta and said that work should be executed on priority.
Gupta assured the residents that their legitimate demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner as Government at Centre led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has resolved total development and prosperity of the State. He appealed to public to come up with the developmental works which are necessity of the hour so that process for the execution is initiated at the earliest.
BJP Gandhi Nagar Mandal president, Ankush Gupta; Shiva Ji Chowk, Traders Association president, Ashok Singh Sambyal; Adv. PS Chandel, president Nagak Nagar Sector 4 Resident welfare Association, Sanjay Jandyal, Vinay Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Rohin Chandan and Vikas Sharma were prominent among those present on the occasion.
Later, Gupta started Upgdaration of lane and drain work in Ward 47 to be executed by JMC.
