JAMMU, Dec 30: BJP MLA from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Kavinder Gupta has started performing duties in his constituency from today.
Taking first step towards fulfilling poll promises of serving Gandhi Nagar constituency with dedication, firm determination and honesty, Gupta visited sector-9 of Nanak Nagar area, started work on Nallah which was halted and which has caused nuisance for locals during rainy season owing to entrance of Nallah water into their homes Mr Gupta directed ERA officials with necessary directions and also to make sure the work done in stipulated time. Gupta also visited Press Mode, Bawe where people were without electricity for last few days, he joined them in their protest by sitting along with them on dharna.
Later he called the senior officials of PDD on spot and got installed new transformer in area. He asked the officials to shun previous method of working and make public service as their mission from now onwards. Lackluster approach on their part will be severely dealt with, he warned. Later Apsara Road Market Association accorded warm reception to Gupta. Gupta assured them that he is committed to welfare of every nook and corner of his constituency and will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling their aspirations. Gupta also visited Govindpura and Bhour Camp area.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that he will make every possible effort in addressing their genuine grievances by projecting the same on concerned platform for the earliest mitigation.
