KATHUA Nov 25: Acting sternly against illegal liquor menace, team of Border Police Post, Hariachak today seized 110 bottles of Rum NV Distilleres & Breweries Pvt Ltf, Punjab Excise and arrested two bootleggers who were smuggling these liquor bottles from Punjab into the State.
Police team of BPP Hariachak led by ASI Manohar Singh under the directions of Inspector, Amit Sangra, SHO PS Rajbagh during checking and patrolling duty on Bhambarwan Hariachak road intercepted two persons namely Vinod Kumar, son of Daryodhan Kumar and Rajesh Verma son of Bakshi Lal both resident of Kotli tehsil Chakokulian, Pathankot Punjab, on scooty bearing Registration No.PB35L-2410 and seized 110 Punjab made liquor bottles in their illegal possession.
Police arrested both the accused, seized the vehicle and registered case FIR No 262/2018 U/S 50 Excise Act. The investigation into the case is set into motion.
