KATHUA, May 1: In continuation to Anti Drug drive Police Party of Hiranagar and Rajbagh nabbed Drug peddlers with 21 gms and 4.5 gms of heroin respectively.
Reacting swiftly on a specific information SHO PS Hiranagar Inspr Naveen Angral laid a naka at Jandi morh Hiranagar and intercepted one person namely Navjot s/o Vijay Kumar Sharma r/o ward no 10 Hiranagar. During his personal search police recovered 21 grms heroin from his possession. On this a Case FIR No 46/2016 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered against him.
In an another successful operation Rajbagh police headed by SHO PS Rajbagh Inspr Ajay Jamwal laid a naka near Ujh bridge and arrested one boy namely Sumit singh s/o Sanjeet singh R/o Rajbagh with 4.5 gram of heroin from his possession. A case FIR No 81/2016 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Rajbagh. Further investigation in both the cases is going on.The operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Border Dy.SP Deewakar Singh and overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms Neeva Jain.
