RAJOURI, May 1: A young Police Constable was killed while his relative suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Sunderbani area last night.
The mishap took place at around 11.15 pm when Constable Manjit Shoor, resident of Pohal village, posted at Sunderbani Police Station was returning home at night on a scooty. His brother -in-law, Rimple Kumar was also sitting with him. The scooty got slipped and Manjit sustained serious head injury. He was killed on the spot. Rimple was also seriously injured and they kept lying on the road for long. Later, they were removed to Sunderbani hospital. Rimple was later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. The body of the Constable was handed over to the family after postmortem this afternoon.
