Kathua police holds public outreach programme

KATHUA, Nov 24: A public outreach programme, was organised by the Kathua Police at Town Hall Hiranagar in the jurisdictional area of PS Hiranagar
The function was chaired by SSP Kathua R C Kotwal accompanied by Additional SP Kathua Suresh Kumar Chib along with other supervisory officers including SDPO Border Pankaj Soodan, DySP Operation Kathua Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, SHO Hiranagar Sunil Kumar and other official/officers of district Kathua were present on the occasion.
The programme was witnessed by large participants of the adjoining areas of Police Station Hiranagar including DDC Hiranagar Abhinandan Sharma, BDC Hiranagar Ram Lal Kalia,Chairman Muncipal Committee Hiranagar Advocate Vijay Sharma,Civil Society Members & various other persons including PRIs, senior citizens, numberdar, chowkidar etc of the areas.
During the programme participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were patiently heard by SSP Kathua and were later on assured that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority level.
The SSP Kathua urged that the participants must cooperate with police and administration in maintaining law & order in their area of responsibilty as well as in identifying anti-national & anti social elements like drugs peddling, bovine smuggling, trade of Illicit liquor etc.
While urging for better policing,the SSP Kathua exhorted officers to dispose of public grievances at grassroots level on priority and patiently.
