JAMMU, Dec 17: Reasi Police today organised Online Debate Competition under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police in which 24 budding student-speakers from different parts of district Reasi participated.
Students from 8th to 12th classes and college students participated in the event in two different categories and debated on the topics “Martyrs Can Never Be Forgotten”, “Revolution or Evolution is required for Betterment of Society”, “Role of Police in Prevention of Drug Abuse and Counselling of addicts” and “Was Loss of Life in COVID-19 Pandemic due to Self Negligence or Lack of Awareness”.
Prize distribution among the participants was conducted in District Police Office Reasi in which besides all participants, their parents, prominent citizens and educationists were present.
SSP Reasi Shailender Singh distributed certificates and books among the participants.
Kashvi Mahajan, student of 8th class of DPS Katra bagged first position in this competition, second position was claimed by Aryan Nanda, a student of 12th class of GHSS Reasi whereas Pranvi Abrol, a student of Presentation Convent High School Reasi was adjudged third.
Shailender while speaking conveyed that Reasi Police organised the event under Civic Action Programme with the motive to provide platform to the students.
Former MoS Ajay Nanda who was also parent of a winner student also graced the function.
Besides Officers of Reasi Police, CEO Reasi Aziz Qadri, Chander Shekhar Gupta Principal GDC Reasi, Kapil Kumar Principal JNV Reasi, Pawan Dev Singh Advocate also addressed the students.
Manoj Kumar Principal HSS Boys Reasi, Prem Nath Principal KV Jyotipuram, Leela Mali Principal Convent HSS Reasi, Jawahar Pandita Principal Gurukul HSS Reasi, Amit Gupta Associate Officer NCC Boys, Annie Raguvanshi Associate Officer NCC Girls and Sanjeev Khajuria President Durga Natak Mandli were also present on the occasion.
