SRINAGAR: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said the youth of the State were second to none in talent and determination but deserved the best facilities and avenues to hone their skills.
“Our youth have proven their mettle in the fields of academics as well as sports and have excelled at national and international platforms.
“Despite a prolonged period of turmoil in the Valley, Kashmiri youth have demonstrated an indomitable spirit of resilience to become achievers in their respective fields and it is this trait of theirs that will shape a bright future for our state and its people,” Omar said.
He was speaking after inaugurating Narbal Premiere League T-20 Cricket Tournament in his Beerwah Assembly constituency in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Omar also released an amount of Rs two lakh to the youth for the tournament. (AGENCIES)
