Pertinent to mention here that, Dr Farooq Abdullah yesterday called for a ban on Vivek Agnihotri-directed film ‘The Kashmir Files’, alleging that it has created an atmosphere of “hatred in the country”, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir. He also called the film “baseless”, citing the incidents portrayed in the movie as fake.
Raising slogans against NC and Dr Farooq Abdullah, the protesting Kashmiri Pandits said if the someone is spreading hatred in the country, it is NC, who always issue statements against minority Pandit community in Kashmir to fulfill their political interest.
They said whatever have been shown in ‘Kashmir Files’ is true and by issuing such statements, NC is only pleasing the majority Muslim community in J&K to garner votes in the upcoming assembly elections.
