JAMMU, Apr 11: A delegation of Kashmiri migrants met the senior Congress leaders at PCC headquarter Jammu today and complained that they have not been issued the ration of this month, till date.
The delegation apprised the Congress leaders that the process for issuing ration slips for the purpose of ration has not been started so far even after 12 days of current month, whereas in the past this process used to start in the end of earlier month, so that people get ration in time. The poor people are suffering due to lack of ration, they said.
The delegation also apprised that the Government of India has failed to enhance cash relief as promised to the tune of rupees ten thousand per month. They said that the migrants would hold protests, if the needful is not done at the earliest.
