JAMMU, Jan 14: Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir State president Rajiv Mahajan has said that the recent Assembly elections result has exposed the real face of Kashmiri leadership.
He said truth has come out itself as all the Kashmiri leaders irrespective of their party affiliations and ideologies are mulling a proposal to join hand to keep Jammu out of power, adding that the possibility of some politician from Jammu to lead the State has unnerved the Kashmiri leaders.
Mr Mahajan said that National Conference, Congress and People’s Democratic Party are joining hands to ensure that no politician from Jammu becomes Chief Minister of the State.
Terming it an eye opener for Jammu people, Mr Mahajan urged them to remain united and fight for the cause of Jammu region and to do away with Kashmiri domination.
Stating that there is no provision in the State constitution which says that the office of the Chief Minister is the sole property of Kashmir, Mr Mahajan said that anyone from the State who has the required support can become the Chief Minister.
“The State needs a Government that treats all sections of society equally at all levels,” he expressed.
Mahajan further said that PDP, NC and Congress have planned this drama to keep Jammu out of power.
He questioned as to when a Muslim can become President of India, a Sikh can become Prime Minister, then why not a Hindu from Jammu can become Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir State.
