JAMMU, Jan 14: The residents of panchayat Kthar in tehsil Akhnoor organized annual wrestling competition at village Manoa.
On the occasion, MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma was the chief guest, whileas captain RD Sharma, Rohit Sharma, social activist Kewal Sharma, Prem Nath, Dharam Chand and large number of sports lovers were also present.
A total of 12 bouts took place, in which around 25 wrestlers exhibited their skill. The final bout was played between wrestler Babba of Kot Bhawal and wrestler Parveen of Pathankote, which ended with draw.
Cash prizes were distributed to both Babba and Parveen by chief guest Rajeev Sharma. All the participants of the competition were also suitably rewarded.
