Kashmir Society to launch campaign

SRINAGAR, May 5: While chairing private education oriented conference here today the Chairman of Kashmir Society Khwaja Farooq Renzushah said that Kashmir is the abode of knowledge, literature and education since times immemorial. “We have five thousand years history of knowledge and we were the first to document history of our civilization centuries ago”.
While presiding over the conference in which educationists, professors, intellectuals and important components of Kashmir Society participated; Renzushah appreciated the role of education sector in the Valley which boldly withstood onslaught of turmoil, chaos and callous approaches particularly during last ten years which has made it difficult for private education system to flourish in a proper manner. He said there are forces which try to astray the newly created private education infrastructure by creating hurdles in its proper growth. He said that from the time of arrival of missionary legend Tyndale Biscoe and establishment of private Islamic School in Rajouri Kadal as well as private library established in Fateh Kadal in 1930, the growth of private education sector was initiated.
He said the Kashmir Society will launch Valley wide campaign for re-orientation and re-strengthening of private education system in Valley.
