KAS officers asked to obtain DSC for online processing of APRs

JAMMU, May 14: The State Government has decided that all officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, including the Junior Scale KAS officers, shall file their Annual Performance Reports (APRs) online for the year 2017-18 onwards on the online SPARROW platform.
For the purpose, all the KAS officers have been enjoined upon to obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) Type-2 by or before May 25 for signing.
A circular in this regard was issued today by the GAD with the instruction that the matter be treated as most urgent.
This is being done in order to bring the objectivity, expediency and transparency in writing and processing of APRs in respect of gazetted officers on the pattern of All India Service officers.
