“During the meeting, the UT administration was speaking the language of Leh transporters and not playing neutral role,” he said and added after the minutes of the meeting were issued without conceding the demand of Kargil transporters, he refused to sign the same.
Advocate Riyaz alleged that Leh transporters were plying their vehicles in Kargil too claiming to have national permit but the Kargil transporters with national permit were not being allowed to enter Leh.
“This is injustice with the Kargil transports and the UT administration is playing in the hands of Leh transporters thus leaving no option for us to continue our strike,” he said and added that religious, social and business organizations of Kargil will be consulted for the future course of action.
Pertinent to mention that Kargil is already observing a shut down for four-days since yesterday in support of the demand for one UT one Permit. All the stakeholders of District Kargil, including religious, social and civil organization have extended their support to the Kargil transporters.
The Regional Transport Officer Kargil had also called a meeting on Saturday at his office, which was attended by ARTO Kargil, ARTO Leh, Chairman All Kargil Transport Association, Chairman All Ladakh Transport Association Leh, President Truck Union Leh/Kargil, President Bus Union Leh/ Kargil, President Taxi Union Leh/ Kargil, President Swaraj Mazda Leh/ Kargil, President Tempo Traveller Leh.
