JAMMU, June 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today appointed Davinder Kumar Kapoor and Aijaz Ahmad Mir, both Retired District and Sessions Judges as Members of the Advisory Board constituted under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).
The appointments have been made for a term of three years with immediate effect, an order issued by Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department, Shaleen Kabra said.
Kapoor has worked as Presiding Officer/Chairman of almost all the Tribunals headed by the Judicial Officers of Jammu and Kashmir. He has served as Principal and District Judge Udhampur and Registrar (Judicial) High Court of J&K. He was the lone District and Sessions Judge (Retired) to be appointed as Judicial Member of J&K State Consumer Commission for two terms.
