UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: Annual Charri Yatra-2018 of Kalika Chakundi- Baba Chounsar (KCBC) was taken out with religious fervour and gaiety at Gabber- Chilla (Batote).
The yatra was organized by Kalika Chakundi- Baba Chounsar Committee, Kud, Udhampur. Chairman, Kalika Chakundi- Baba Chounsar, Bishan Dass formally flagged off the annual Charri Yatra along with Charri Mubarak, led by Pujari Kailash Thakur at Karwal Nallah (Kud) here this morning.
A large number of enthusiastic men and children participated in the Charri Yatra, which passed through various locations like Mall road, Kasar Morh, Patnitop, Sanasar Road, Nathatop and finally culminated at Kalika Chakundi- Baba Chounsar Mandir, Gabber -Chilla (Batote), where rich tributes was paid to Baba Chounsar.
A large number of devotees from different areas paid their obeisance at the Baba Chounsar Mandir to seek the blessings. On the occasion, main attractions of the programme were Chowki (yatar) and folk Kud dance, which was also organized at Kalika Chakundi- Baba Chounsar Mandir. Besides, langar parsad was also served to the devotees.
President Kailash Thakur, general secretary Balbir Chand, Kartar Chand and other members including Bansi Lal, Omkar Singh, Jagdev Singh, Parshotam Chand, prominent locals and large numbers of followers were also present on the occasion.
