JAMMU, Mar 10: Kali Janni Trader’s Welfare Society elected Ajay Sawhney unopposed as president by a panel of returning officers, today.
Later on the newly elected president nominated Suresh Kumar Abrol as general secretary, Sanjeev Ralli, Sanjeev Dhawan and Vikram Bhasin as senior vice presidents and Vikas Jain, Rohini Jain and Amar Nath as vice presidents, while Rajinder Gupta as secretary of the society.
Earlier in the last week, polling was held, polling date were fixed and during scrutiny of nomination papers the form of Chander Kant Dutta was rejected while nomination papers of Ajay Sawhney were found correct. As only one candidate remained in the fray for post of president, Ajay Sawhney was declared elected unopposed.
The other office bearers and the treasurer shall be nominated later, said a release issued by the society.
