Kalash Yatra taken out in Mendhar

MENDHAR, May 9:  A grand ‘Kalash’ Yatra was taken out today in the border township of Mendhar by the members of Hindu community in connection with religious function at ‘Prachin’ Hanuman Mandir.
A large number of devotees assembled at the temple and then took out a Kalash yatra which culminated near Post Office. A large number of men, women and children chanting Bhajans and religious slogans (Jai Ghosh) participated in the procession. Several religious scholars from various parts of the country are participating in this week long religious programme. Swami Harvind Ji Maharaj from Kanchi delivered sermons to the devotees at the Temple today. A grand langar has also been arranged for the devotees. All the days during the function, ‘Jhankis’ will be taken out in the town, a spokesman of SD Sabha said.
