Kaiths pay obeisance to Uttami Devi

JAMMU, June 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Kaith Biradari organized a grand function at Village Kothe Chohala in Tehsil R.S. Pura where the devotees hailing from different parts of J&K, Punjab and Haryana, came in large number and paid obeisance to Uttami Devi to seek her blessings for the welfare of their families. The function was held under the supervision of Capt. (Retd) Girdhari Lal.
Uttami Devi is an important female deity worshipped twice a year. She is believed to be protector of Kaith families. Besides, she fulfills one’s wishes, revealed her chela  Ram Dass while performing the puja.
While felicitating the students who obtained positions, distinctions and first divisions in their examinations, the Biradari head G.R. Kaith said that the quality education to the children is most important. Facility must be provided to ensure that the talented children in the Biradari achieve full potential and grow to become top professionals and administrators, they added. They also advised the unemployed youth to take full advantage of the new initiatives that have been launched by the Government of India like the start-up programme etc. where they can start their own ventures instead of waiting for employment in Govt. sector.
Other Biradari leaders stressed for spread of literacy and eradication of social evils prevalent in the Biradari which have not only weakened it but have also created a sense of inferiority complex and inadequacy in its members.
Others who participated in the function included Messrs R.L. Kaith, Master Ashok Kaith, Sub. (retd) Ramesh Chander, Sub. (retd) Bachan Lal, Sub (retd). Karnail Chand, Hav (retd). Des Raj, Numberdar Des Raj, Master Naresh Kumar, Sat Pal, Rattan Lal, Krishan Lal,  Amar Nath,  Yash Pal, Janak Raj, Karam Kumar, Natha Ram, Romesh Kumar and Gurdeep Kumar.
