Kabir Sabha to conduct general body election on May 29

JAMMU, May 17: All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha (JKSSKS) Jammu is going to conduct its general body election for the post of president and general secretary on May 29 at Sant Kabir Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu.
This was disclosed today by chairman, election committee of the Sabha, Dr Ashok Kumar, while addressing a press conference here today. He was accompanied by Bodh Raj and Bishan Dass, other members of the election committee.
Bhagat said that the nomination forms for the posts may be collected from Sabha office and the same may be submitted till 4 pm of May 19, the last day of submission of forms. “The nomination forms will be scrutinized on May 20 and the last date for withdrawal of the nomination is May 21 (upto 4 pm)”, Bhagat said and further informed that votes will be polled on May 29 from 8 am to 4 pm and thereafter counting of votes will be started and the result will be declared on the same day.
Bhagat informed that any person who is resident of J&K and belongs to the community can participate for the post of president or general secretary. He further said that other office bearers shall be appointed by the president after general election of the Sabha is over.
