JWAM stages protest over FIR against Army

JAMMU, Jan 31: Activists of Jammu West Assembly movement (JWAM) led by their president, Sunil Dimple, today held a protest against PDP-BJP Government in the State for registration of FIR against Army over recent Shopian incident.
The activists of JWAM assembled on Janipur -High Court road at New Plot and staged dharna. Raising slogans against the Mehbooba Mufti Government, they were demanding withdrawal of the FIR against Army. Protesters disrupted vehicular traffic for some time in support of the Army jawans and other Indian forces fighting war with Pakistan on LoC.
The protesters also shouted slogans against Deputy Grand Mufti Azam Nasir for demanding separate nation for Muslims within India. They demanded the arrest of the Grand Mufti for sedition charges.
While addressing the protesters, Dimple said the Deputy Grand Mufti wants the division of India, and one more Muslim nation. He threatens to call for “Jammu bandh” if the FIR, against the Army men not withdrawn and Grand Mufti not arrested.
Coming down heavily on Kashmir based political leaders for their Azadi remarks in both the houses, Dimple demanded stringent action against such politicians and asked the BJP to immediately break alliance with PDP. He also stressed for continuation of the AFSPA in the State.
Dimple alleged that the speeches of the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti are weakening the Jammu and Kashmir’s relations with India and is provoking militancy and separatism, in the State. He demanded immediate dismissal of BJP-PDP Government and imposition of Governor Rule in the State.
