JWAM protests over water scarcity

JAMMU, Aug 31: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest at New Plot over scarcity of drinking water.
While addressing the protesting people, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, alleged that the whole west constituency is facing acute scarcity of drinking water. He said that due to substandard work being done by the ERA lakhs of Gallons of water is flowing on roads and in drains.
Dimple said ERA officials are hand in glove with the contractors and have done very substandard work for the PHE Department. He demanded the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to initiate CBI inquiry of the work done by the ERA and PHE Department in the West Constituency.
He said water supply has been badly affected in the West Assembly Constituency and water being leaked from the water connections damaged by ERA, is damaging the left out road, which is already in bad condition.
