JAMMU, Sept 11: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest here today against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department for irregular supply of drinking water.
Amid slogans, the JWAM activists led by their President Sunil Dimple assembled here and held protest against PHE Department.
While speaking, Sunil Dimple said that the residents of Jammu West constituency are facing manifold problems due to scarcity of drinking water.
“Contaminated water is being supplied to the residents, which may lead to health hazard in the time to come”, he said, adding that in several areas, the water supply pipes are leaking, but the department is not taking any action to replace the damaged water supply pipes.
Dimple warns to protest in the office of Chief Engineer PHE Department if regular and clean drinking water is not supplied to the residents.
Among others present were Harbans Tondon, Chaman Pawar, Vijay Khajuria, Kulwant Sharma, JM Gupta, Dev Raj, Mukesh Mahajan, Vipen Mahajan, Satpal Kohli, Kala Kumhar, Rakesh Sharma, Jitender Gupta, Jyoti Mahajan, Thodu Ram and Arjun Anand.
