JAMMU, Sept 15: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement held a protest demonstration against the sub standard black topping work on the Ambphalla- Janipur- High Court- New Plot road.
Large number of residents of the West constituency and shopkeepers raised slogans against PWD (R&B) for carrying out sub standard work without proper surfacing of the roads.
Addressing the demonstration, Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement alleged that the road is not up to the mark and specification of the tendering process and simple lair of black topping is being done on the road.
He discussed the matter with the Chief Engineer PWD R&B about the quality of the black topping and registered a strong protest that the blacktopping of the Ambphalla, Mian Dido Chowk, New Plot and Janipur High Court roads is not as per the specification of the tender allotment.
He asked CE to personally visit the site and inspect the blacktopping work.
