JAMMU, Mar 14: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration at Janipur-High Court Road at New Plot against the BJP-PDP mis-governance and poor performance of PWD, R&B, ERA and JMC.
Prominent citizens and irate traders under the leadership of JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, staged a protest demonstration at New Plot and disrupted traffic movement on Janipur -High Court Road.
The protestors raised slogans against the PWD R&B, ERA and JMC for swindling of funds amounting to Rs 132 crore meant for construction of flyovers and widening of the BC Road from Rehari Chungi to Jewel Chowk.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple urged upon the Housing, Urban Development, JMC and PWD-R&B Ministers to leave the implementation of anti-national CMP and implement the good governance and development programs of the CMP if any.
He said the roads of the West Assembly constituency are full of knee-deep holes causing accidents daily. He said many times matter was taken up with the Government, which cited the excuse of lack of money.
Dimple gave ultimatum to PWD, ERA, PHE and JMC to start the black topping work immediately otherwise the agitation will be intensified and the Government will be responsible for this. He demanded immediate black topping of the roads of the Jammu city and the constituency.
He alleged the ERA and PWD in connivance with each other have committed scam of Rs 132 crore under the ERA Sewerage project and there is no information that where this project stands at present. He demanded a CBI inquiry into this.
