JWAM demands statehood status to J&K

JAMMU, Apr 4: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today demanded the Prime Minister to restore special statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, popular Government by holding Assembly election.
President JWAM, Sunil Dimple said that the Jammu and Kashmir youth were facing lot of sufferings and miseries after the withdrawal of special status and degradation the state into Union Territory. The amendment in the domicile termed it as the first step towards victory of the youth but still lot of works have to be done to open the eyes of the Central Government.
“The Jammu and Kashmir has been pushed fifty 50 years behind in the pace of the development, employment and progress and everyday a new controversy is being created by the BJP Government after the degradation it into the UT,” he asserted.
People are over burdened with installation toll plazas, taxes, heavy fines, huge water power tariffs increased recently by the Government.
