JAMMU, Feb 27: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a protest rally, in support of continuation of the Governor rule, holding the fresh Assembly election, grant of District Status to West Assembly constituency, Speed-up process for opening the Jammu AIIMS, and immediate steps for making Jammu as a smart city.
Addressing the demonstrators, Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, urged the Governor N N Vohra for the continuation of the Governors rule in the State and immediate dissolution of the Assembly.
He welcomed the announcement of the Governor to hold the Panchayat and Municipal Corporation elections in June-July and to complete the JMC urban local bodies election formalities by March 31.
