JWAM appeals SC to restore statehood, special status of J&K

JAMMU, Jan 17: President Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM), Sunil Dimple today appealed Supreme Court and Government of India to restore statehood and special status of Jammu and Kashmir which was scrapped by the Union Government on August 5.
Addressing the press conference here, he criticised the Central and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT) Governments for its non serious approach towards the miseries of Jammu and Kashmir people and pitched for restoration of political process in JKUT as soon as possible by holding fresh assembly election and releasing all political leaders who were arrested following the scraping of Jammu and Kashmir special status. He demanded restoration of 4G services internet services immediately in the all the district of Jammu and Kashmir
He alleged due to non popular government in Jammu and Kashmir, the employment and poverty have reached at its peak and all the developmental projects of Jammu are at halt.
“We support the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) and act has been passed but now the BJP is trying to create a wedge between Hindu and Muslim of the country and in Jammu and Kashmir for vote bank”, said Dimple.
He further alleged the BJP is imposing its ideology forcibly on the people of Jammu Kashmir and has made the JKUT a hostage of BJP.
Dimple said 36 BJP minister are visiting Jammu for the campaign of CAA, NRC and NPR is nothing, it is a political drama.
He appealed the Supreme Court, if 36 ministers can move in the Valley freely to campaign on CAA, NRC, NPR than why the Union Government have arrested the political leaders Dr Farooq Abdullah and put the Umar Abdullah and other leaders of Kashmir under the house arrest and also appealed the SC to impose a blanket ban on the Pro and Anti protests, rallies and public meeting on CAA, NRC and NPR.
The other senior leaders including Dr Sham Saroop, Chaman Pawar, Kulwant Sharma, Kala Kumar and Anil Kumar were also present during the press conference.
