JAMMU, Dec 3: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple here today staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of statehood to J&K with special status.
Addressing the protesters Dimple said that J&K farmers should also join the nationwide agitation of farmers on December 5 and claimed that BJP will badly lose the ongoing DDC elections in J&K.
He urged upon the Prime Minister to concede the demands of protesting farmers and condemned the police action on farmer protesting against new farm laws.
The JWAM leader also claimed that protest of farmers has badly affected the road transportation and railway services causing shortage of essential commodities.
He flayed BJP for introducing domicile and new land laws in J&K and claimed that BJP has destroyed the Dogra State.
Dimple appealed to all the political parties and Jammu based organizations to focus on the restoration of statehood to J&K with Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, PoK, Gilgit and Baltistan as its part.
Manjeet Anand, Satpal Sharma, Sachin Soi, Chuni Lal Bhat, Chaman Pawar, Sita Ram Rakwal, Arjun Anand, Ajay Kumar, Rajinder Sharma, Shiv Kumar, Om Parkash and others were also present in the protest.
