JAMMU, July 5: The residents of the West Assembly Constituency, led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held protest demonstration here today.
Protesting against the worst condition of the roads, they demanded starting of the black toping, solve the traffic problem in Jammu city, construction of the flyovers at Rehari Chungi Canal road and also protested against the worst condition of all the roads of the West Constituency due to the negligence of the BJP-PDP Government.
The protesters took R&B Minister and the chief engineers of R&B, Commissioner JMC, Chief Engineer ERA to task for delaying the black topping of the Jammu city and West Constituency roads.
Addressing the protestors Sunil Dimple served 15 days ultimatum to the ERA, PWD, R&B, JMC to black top Amphalla, New Plot Janipur High Court road and all other roads of the Constituency, failing which strong agitation will be started.
Dimple also sought intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and urged her to issue directives to concerned department to improve the condition of roads in the Jammu West Constituency where there are knee deep trenches on the roads. He also demanded that the ERA, PWD, R&B, JMC be activated.
