RAMBAN, Apr 5: Police arrested a juvenile for raping a minor girl.
This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Mohan Lal while talking to media persons here today.
He informed that a report was received yesterday at Police Station Ramban regarding rape of a 6-year-old girl at Maitra by an apparently juvenile accused.

Acting over the report, a case under FIR Number 47/18 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and the accused was arrested within 1 hour, he added.
However, due to non-availability of lady medical officer at District Hospital Ramban, the medical examination of the victim was conducted through board of doctors at District Hospital Udhampur.
SSP stated that the juvenile accused was produced before the Court who ordered shifting of accused to Juvenile Home RS Pura Jammu, adding that further investigation into the case is going on.
