UDHAMPUR, July 12: Police have solved a theft case under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chenani, by arresting a juvenile among two accused recovering stolen property from their possession.
There was a written complaint from one Rohit Anthal son of Jagdish Chand of Kither Jagir stating that on 09-07-2024, some unknown thieves had stolen his agricultural tiller machine from his land. In this connection, a case FIR number 112/2024 under relevant section of law was registered in PS Chenani.
Taking cognizance of the matter, a special team of PS Chenani, led by SHO Chenani Pushpinder Singh apprehended several suspects who were put to sustained questioning. Two suspects namely Anku Kumar, son of Lt Darshan Kumar of Bain, Tehsil Chenani alongwith one juvenile (name withheld) confessed their involvement in the said case.
On disclosure of both the accused persons, stolen agricultural tiller machine worth Rs 97000/- was recovered by the police. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
