Jugal leads deputation to IGP, demands action against radical elements

JAMMU, Dec 18: Residents of village Chanjar Marwah, Dachchan and Hanzal Marwah led by Bej Nath Koul and BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma met Inspector General of Police (IGP) and demanded action against the radical elements involved in unholy act in the premises of Shiv temple in village Chanjar Marwah, district Kishtwar.
While speaking, Bej Nath Koul said that last night, a group of miscreants entered the temple premises and torn off religious books and also looted other items.
Koul demanded police post for safety of temple and the Hindu minority at Village Lower Chanjar Marwah and also stressed for proper communication network in their villages.
IGP assured the delegation of every possible action and informed that a team of senior police officials has been deputed for assessment of the situation.
Among others present were Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ashok Khajuria, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, political advisor to State President Prof Hari Om, senior leader Mohan Singh Chauhan.
Meanwhile, the members of the affected minority community also called on BJP National Executive Member Dr Nirmal Singh and narrated their woeful story.
Shanti Saroop Koul, Murti Manohar, Trilok Nath, Vinod Kumar, Roshan Lal, Vivek Kumar, Ranjeet Kumar, Sunny Kumar and Umesh Kumar were among the delegation from affected village.
