RAJOURI, Feb 6: BJP Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, alongwith MLA Abdul Ghani Kohli, senior officials of different departments and party leaders, visited remote and far flung areas of Rajouri including Taryath, Moglas, Dalari, Gunda and adjoining villages. He interacted with the local people at these places, took stock of their problems and inquired about the developmental activities going on there. He also addressed massive public gathering at Gunda.
Mr Sharma, while addressing the gathering, said that many areas in Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency are at a long distances from district and tehsil headquarters and still need a lot in matters related to education, health, road connectivity etc and every effort is being to ensure that more stress in given to such areas.
“After being elected as MP, I have been putting my best to get extended the benefits of centrally sponsored welfare schemes and providing means of communication to these areas, Jugal said and added that Narendra Modi led government at the Centre is concerned for the border, remote and far flung areas.
Jugal Kishore Sharma also announced Rs 25 lakh for various purposes, out of which he sanctioned an ambulance for the convenience of the people in these far flung areas and Rs 5 lakh for the development works in Dalari and assured to continue working for them.
Abdul Ghani Kohli, briefed the gathering about various steps undertaken during his tenure as Transport Minister to provide transport facilities to all the areas. He also appreciated the initiatives of the previous PDP-BJP Coalition Government in the State aimed at equal development of all the areas in every nook and corner of all the three regions of the State.
Th. Puran Singh, District President Som Dutt, Mandal President Lekh Raj, Sham Din, Sunil Verma, Dev Raj, Gurpreet Singh, Sham Lal and Sarpanchs, Panchs of adjoining areas also addressed the public gathering. Some of these areas were not visited by any MP so far, said Jugal Kishore Sharma.
