SAMBA, June 14: Jugal Kishore Sharma BJP Member of Parliament from Jammu -Poonch Lok Sabha constituency
kick started construction work of Rs 9.15 crore Water Supply Schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission at village Rampura and Ramlu in Vijaypur constituency of district Samba.
Jugal Kishore Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that today construction work of water supply scheme at village Rampur worth Rs 4.40 crore and construction of water supply schemes at village Ramloo worth Rs 4.75 crore has been started which will feed more than 1500 households. He said that village Rampur and adjoining areas and village Ramlu along with adjoining areas were suffering a lot due to water scarcity.
He said that the area will get benefit through these schemes.
Member of Parliament said that the work will be executed with missionary zeal and get completed within seven to eight months. Moreover, he said no compromise with quality of work will be allowed. These schemes are provisioned not only for the present times but also for the future till 2050, he added.
Jugal, while complimenting Modi Government said that Narendra Modi is the only Prime Minister who has such great vision and he created an independent Ministry called Jal Shakti Mantralay for providing drinking water to every household. He also complimented Union Minister, Gajendra Singh Shikhawat for releasing funds to Jal Shakti Department Jammu and Kashmir for completing all these works.
Jugal was accompanied by DD Chairman, Keshav Dutt, DDC members, Shilpa Dubey and Sarabjit Singh Johal,BDC member, Yogeswar Singh Jamwal, former Minister, Chandra Prakash Ganga, District Development Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta, senior BJP leaders, Amar Singh, Jai Ram Sharma and others.
Keshav Dutt District Development Council, Chairman said that Jal Jeevan Mission is very much visionary and will sort out the problem of water scarcity of rural areas.
Chandra Prakash Ganga, former Minister said that these rural areas were suffering a lot and were facing water scarcity. He also lauded BDC members and Sarpanches of the area and said that they should monitor the quality work and this work should get completed in time. He said that previous governments have only betrayed the innocent people and done vote bank politics but Modi Government is committed to welfare of the people.
Superintending Engineer Jal Shakti Mission Sumit Puri,SSP Sambam, Rajesh Sharma, Executive Engineer, Sushil Sharma and other officers including Panches and Sarpanches were also present on the occasion.
