JAMMU, Aug 11: Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma has blamed Congress for all the misdeeds that have been done to the J&K in the past. He said that former Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru in deep friendship with then Chief Minister, Sheikh Abdullah made scores of such decisions that proved suicidal and hampered development in the State.

The MP was addressing a gathering of partymen at BJP Headquarters here today on his arrival to Winter Capital from Delhi today.
He said the ill willed decisions of Pt. Nehru and Sheikh resulted in the birth of separatism, terrorism and creation of PoJK. “We today strongly resolve that we will take back, what was rightfully ours”, he added.
He maintained that many people including founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh and a great patriot Dr Shayama Prasad Mookherjee laid down their lives for the abrogation of the Article 370 and “we dedicate this day to their ultimate sacrifices,. I believe myself to be lucky enough that I got a chance to vote for the abrogation of Article 370 and thank people of Jammu-Poonch as they gave me this power with their votes”, Jugal added.
Earlier, Jugal Kishore Sharma also paid tributes to Dr Shayama Prassad Mookherjee and Pt. Prem Nath Dogra at the party Headquarter.
Hundreds of leaders and activists of Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP) gave a tumultuous welcome to MP on his arrival to Winter Capital from Delhi today after the scrapping of controversial Article 370 by Narendra Modi led Union Government.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina along with other senior leaders and jubiliant party workers welcomed Jugal at the party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar here. Former DyCM, Kavinder Gupta, former Minister, Sat Sharma, State vice-president, Rajeev Charak, Chander Prakash Ganga, Dr. DK Manyal, Sukhnandan Choudhary, former MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLC, Vikram Randhawa and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the party leaders and workers on the occasion, said that “with the strong and clear political will, we have undone the injustice”. He said that the controversial Article prevented lakhs of people from attaining their due rights and a vast section of society in the State like women, refugees, Gujjar Bakkarwals, Valmiki Samaaj and scores of others suffered for seven decades due to the act.
He said that Congress had majority in the Lok Sabha in the past, but it was never interested to remove the injustice. “But now ultimately the justice has prevailed and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah have taken an initiative to take the State on progressive and development path’”. He also congratulated Jugal for his role in the Parliament in the scrapping of the Article.
